Questions candidates ask most often when joining the KBG team.

Do I need an SIA licence before applying?

No. We welcome applications from candidates with a valid licence and from those with a licence application in progress. For the right candidate we'll support you through the licensing process.

What training does KBG provide new starters?

New joiners complete a KBG induction covering policies, conflict management refreshers, first-aid awareness, radio and body-worn video, incident reporting, and site-specific assignment instructions. Ongoing CPD is tracked centrally.

Are there opportunities for supervisor and senior roles?

Yes. KBG actively promotes from within into shift supervisor, contract supervisor, and operations roles. Our leadership team has all moved up through the operational ranks.

Does KBG offer part-time or weekend work?

Yes. Part-time, weekend-only, and event-specific roles are common, particularly for door supervision and stewarding.

Do you sponsor SIA licence applications?

For exceptional candidates who meet our vetting standards we will fund or part-fund the SIA licence against a qualifying period of service. Ask about it in your application.

What vetting standard does KBG apply?

All staff are vetted in line with BS 7858 — 5-year employment history, right-to-work, identity verification, and criminal-records checking. This is non-negotiable regardless of role.
