What is an alarm response service?
When your intruder, fire, or panic alarm activates, KBG dispatches a vetted officer to attend, assess, and secure the site. The service protects your property and removes the safety risk of a member of staff attending alone.
How fast will an officer reach my site after an alarm?
Response times are contracted per site. Inside our core West Midlands coverage area we target 30-60 minutes from activation. Higher priority sites can be set to tighter windows.
What happens when an officer arrives on scene?
The officer conducts an external and internal check (with your key), identifies the cause, resets the system, and secures the premises. A written incident report is issued the same morning.
Do you contact the police on my behalf?
If the cause is confirmed as a live incident — forced entry, damage, suspects on site — yes. We'll remain on scene and liaise with responding officers under our Police Unique Reference Number.
Do you handle intruder, fire, and panic alarms?
Yes. Our response covers intruder, fire, personal attack (PA), and environmental alarm activations, provided the escalation path is agreed in the contract.
How is alarm response priced?
Typically a fixed monthly retainer plus a per-attendance charge for any actual activations. Both figures are scoped to the site's alarm history and risk profile.
Can I combine alarm response with key holding?
Yes. Most KBG clients use both together so there's no coordination delay when an alarm triggers — the same accredited provider holds the key and responds.
