How much does manned guarding cost per hour in the UK?
Most contracts land between £15 and £25 per hour for SIA-licensed static guarding, depending on location, shift pattern, and site risk. We price per site after a free risk assessment — no ambiguous daily rates.
Do you provide 24/7 static guards?
Yes. KBG runs 24/7 static contracts covering industrial estates, warehouses, retail parks, and public-sector facilities. Rosters are built with fatigue management in mind, not stretched across marathon shifts.
Are your guards SIA licensed and BS 7858 vetted?
Every officer deployed holds a valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor licence and has been vetted to BS 7858 (the British Standard for the screening of security personnel). Licence numbers are logged and re-checked at each renewal.
What's the difference between manned guarding and mobile patrols?
Manned guarding puts an officer on your site for the contracted hours. Mobile patrols visit at agreed intervals, which is cheaper and suits lower-risk sites. Many KBG clients combine a static guard during peak hours with mobile patrols overnight.
Which standards do you follow for static guarding?
Deliveries are aligned to BS 7499:2020 (Static Site Guarding) and BS 10800:2020 (Provision of Security Services), underpinned by SIA ACS. All officers are BS 7858 vetted. Standards are audited every year as part of our ACS recertification.
